Countywide drug roundup in progress

The first 2022 drug roundup across Oconee is in progress.  By 5 pm yesterday, sheriff’s personnel had corralled 10 people.  In some instances, warrants were served on suspects already jailed.  In all, 33 people are targeted.  Arrest warrants allege undercover operatives were able to make buys that included marijuana, fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, and prescription drugs.
