The Andrew Pickens Ranger District office in Mountain Rest, SC will be performing prescribed burning today 2/16 on a 525-acre portion of the Grapevine unit today.  The general location is off Chattooga Ridge Road in the Forest Service Road 764 area.  The plan is to begin ignition at 10:00 .  There will be visible smoke in the area.

To accommodate Presidents Day on Monday, Walhalla is adjusting its trash pickup schedule.  Monday’s routes will instead be run on both Tuesday and Wednesday next week.  All other routes should remain on schedule, according to Russ Price, public works director.
