Dining tradition returns for the Lent season

The Council Hall of the Knights of Columbus in Seneca returns as a serving area, starting tomorrow evening and continuing through the season of Lent.  Catholics are among religious faiths that observe Lenten, a period of atonement during which faithful Catholics give up meat.  Locally, the Knights Council 6884 holds a fish fry on Fridays, open to everyone starting tomorrow and continuing through March 22. Plates are available to eat-in or take-out at the Council Hall, 112 E. North Second Street in Seneca each Friday during Lent from 5 to 7:30 pm.  Featured are jumbo baked shrimp, fried Swai white fish, French fries, coleslaw, green beans, rye bread, and beverage.  The cost is $12 dollars adults; children 7 to 12, $6 dollars, and kids under 7 no charge.
