Economic interests show their appreciation to state lawmaker

The seemingly tireless state senator who represents Oconee-Pickens in the legislature, Thomas Alexander, is being remembered by local interests in economic development.  At a luncheon meeting today at Keowee Key, members of the board and the executive committee of the Oconee Economic Alliance awarded Alexander a large glass sculpture in recognition of his work to further economic development.  In his absence, Alexander’s wife, Linda, accepted and, according to Oconee County Administrator Amanda Brock, gave a touching speech to the luncheon audience.
