A request to vary from the 2024 increased capacity fees is being made of the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority.  A JRSA committee hears the variance request tomorrow morning from Tricia Chassen of the real estate company Forestar Group.  She’s making that appeal on behalf of Cascade Point subdivision.

Oconee Sheriff’s Office has learned that someone is attempting a fundraising scam by posing as a fund raiser for the hospitalized deputy Lucas Watts.  The caller phoned an individual and asked if he wanted to donate to support Watts, seriously wounded in a November on-duty incident.  The unsuspecting recipient of the call agreed and was transferred to another person who […]

Fair Play fire fighters contained a home fire this morning to one room. And Chief Wilkerson says there’s no need for the residents on Willie Road near the W. Fair Play Boulevard to find other lodging.  They were not displaced.
