Nine of ten new COVID-19 cases detected within the Oconee public schools are students.  The 10th is an employee at Fair-Oak Elementary.  Two of the student cases are at Seneca Middle School; two  are West-0ak High students; two are Walhalla High students. Others are one student at West-Oak Middle; one student at Fair-Oak; and one Seneca High virtual student.

South Carolina COVID-19 numbers are creeping upward–from yesterday’s report.  The latest 24-hour account (reported this afternoon) shows 1,374 cases, including 47 from Oconee County.  Twenty-three more deaths have raised the statewide death toll to 4,010.  Total test results statewide received by DHEC Monday were 10,047; the positivity was 13.2%.
