Hunger for I-85 development

On a week when Americans look forward to spread of turkey on the dinner table, there’s increasing appetite to develop parts of a 4-mile stretch of the interstate highway that bisects the southern tip of Oconee County.  Chris Eleazer of the Joint Regional Sewer Authority once again said last night that rarely does a week or two pass without someone calling his office and inquiring about sewer possibilities for I-85 at Fair Play.  Eleazer spoke last night to the Oconee Planning Commission.  He predicts that, at last, Sewer South will become a reality and that piped sewer will be laid in the ground to serve property at two or more 85 exits.  Eleazer reported most calls pertain to development possibilities in and around exit #4.
