Tech students win welding competition

Welding students at Tri-County Technical College received awards, including first-place recognition, at the annual South Carolina Tech College welding competition. Chloe Hudson of Seneca received a first place award; Tyler Cobb of Salem received second place. Chloe and Tyler were among 52 students representing 10 technical colleges in the competition at Central Carolina Technical College.

Today is the annual barbecue fundraiser for the Boy Scouts, and they’ve been cooking all night long at Scout Hut on Walhalla’s N. Katherine Street.
