A 21-year old man in custody has been identified by the Clemson police as their suspect in Monday’s holdup at the Stop-A-Minit convenience store on highway 123. The police say Greer resident Elijah Tahir Thomas is charged with armed robbery and other charges are pending. Twenty-one-year old Thomas is being held in another jurisdiction, police say.

A moving company is delivering turbines for installation at the Oconee Nuclear Station. Duke Energy plans to replace three, low-pressure turbines on Unit 2 this fall during a scheduled re-fueling outage.
