Walhalla to seek video evidence of sewer troubles

Walhalla has designated up to $35 thousand toward a study of its sewer system—aimed at pinpointing the trouble spots for infiltration. There are savings to be realized by minimizing the problem of inflow and infiltration which leads to higher bills the city must pay to treat sewage. After an initial delay, utilities superintendent Scott Parris expects North American Pipeline Management within a week to start gathering video evidence of the problems. That video data will be gathered by lowering video equipment down in the manholes and into the sewer lines.
