I-85 death ruled suicide

An I-85 shooting death has been ruled suicide.  Greg Shore, Anderson County coroner, said his office investigated a motor vehicle accident around noon yesterday on 85 North, mile marker 10.  Shore’s deputy, Ty Blackwell, identified the victim and determined death came from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  The gunfire resulting the vehicle hitting a guardrail.  In line with policy of the […]

Fatal motorcycle accident near Salem

A motorcycle left N. Highway 11 last night, struck a ditch and overturned.  The coroner and the highway patrol report the accident at 11 and SC 130/Whitewater Falls Road took the life of the motorcycle operator.  Coroner Addis identified the deceased as James Richard Reid, 70, of Salem.  The accident was reported to 9-1-1 just before 9 o’clock.
