885 grams of meth seized at Fair Play

The execution of a search warrant Thursday by the
Oconee County Sheriff’s Office in Fair Play led to the arrest of two subjects and the seizure of
approximately 885 grams of Methamphetamine.
The search warrant was executed by Narcotics Agents and the Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. team at
326 Rebel Holler Drive. The search warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing drug
trafficking investigation.
A Fair Play man, 47 year old William Timothy Nichols of Rebel Holler Drive, was arrested and
booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 1:00pm Thursday. A Walhalla woman,
47 year old Rebecca Michelle Patterson of Spring Branch Drive, was also arrested and booked
into the Oconee County Detention Center around 12:50pm yesterday.
Nichols has been charged with four total counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and one
count of Distribution of Methamphetamine. The charges against Nichols stem from the seizure
of Methamphetamine at the residence yesterday but also from controlled purchases of narcotics
made by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office during 2022 and
2023.
Patterson has been charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and one
count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine for quantities of
Methamphetamine, Xanax and Subutex that were discovered on her person yesterday.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
