On the agenda for Oconee Planning Commission this week are highway 123 curb cut and auxiliary lane ordinance.  The planning commissioners will take public comment on these ideas before they are scheduled to vote during their 5 o’clock meeting Thursday evening in county council chambers at Walhalla.

Is a three-lane EN 1st Street in the cards in Seneca?  For now, Seneca’s plans to turn 4-lane EN 1st into a three-lane street are in the hands of the South Carolina DOT.  Scott Moulder, city administrator, said on Friday that DOT has the plans for review.  So far, he says, no comments have been returned.

A local broadcaster declares his intent to run for Seat Three, Oconee County Council.  The hopeful is Jazzy Jeff Bright, who is timing his announcement for 9 am Tuesday, March 1.  Bright would seek the office from which Paul Cain steps down at the end of the year.
