Crews working on behalf of Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative intend to work past sundown tonight with the intent of resolving the remaining thousands of customers still without service.  Just this morning, according to Blue Ridge, service was restored to 5,200 customers over the multi-county service territory.  By 11:30 this morning, the remaining Oconee County number had been reduced to 5,568.

In the latest report from South Carolina’s health agency, 918 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19 were added to the state’s totals, along with 13 new deaths.  An additional 30 Oconeeans have been confirmed to have the virus.  In the report issued yesterday, South Carolina case numbers jumped, deaths dropped.  A total of 6,945 test results were received by DHEC Wednesday.  […]
