Rain gauges overflowed Friday in Oconee County

We’ve had reports of overflowed rain gauges in various parts of Oconee County on Friday.  Some of the more common readings were six to seven inches.  In Walhalla, the official reading approximated 6″. Weather watcher Barbara Wilson reports to the National Weather Service a measurement of 5.88″, most of it falling within a three-hour period.
