Front yard setback variance approved

Seneca property owner Gabriel Yoder received the approval last night of the city board of appeals to vary from the setback requirements of the zoning laws.  Ed Halbig, staff liaison to the appeals board, says Yoder’s appeal involving the front yard setback on Lot 42, Providence Ridge subdivision, off the Shiloh Road was accepted by a unanimous vote.

Governor McMaster undergoes what his office calls a minor heart procedure this morning to correct paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.  The elective procedure is scheduled to start around 8 this morning and last 2-3 hours during which time he’ll be under general anesthesia. Rural Oconee home fire

Fire broke out in a home last night in the vicinity of Radisson Road near Seneca.  According to Rural Fire Control, no one in the home on Rambo Drive was injured, although it was an occupied residence.  Oakway volunteer fire fighters were alerted around 9:30 and the Rambo Drive home remained a fire scene until 1 o’clock.
