Open air trolley idea for Clemson

At their meeting next week, the members of Clemson City Council will consider the idea to bring an open air trolley to their city.  The city’s economic development committee recommends studying the costs of a summertime open air trolley to ferry visitors from hotels to the downtown and other areas of interest.  Its thinking is the hotels are full throughout the summer with families who are in town for the various Clemson youth sports and academic camps and that a trolley would add value to their stays and create opportunities for increased traffic to local businesses and attractions.  It’s an agenda item for Monday night’s council meeting.
