The police in Westminster say a suspect in yesterday afternoon’s double-shooting has been identified, and Chief Rory Jones believes, at this time, there’s no danger to the general public.  The shootings occurred outdoors.  “These folks had a disagreement,” Jones says.  And he’s confident they are the only ones involved.

According to Oconee School District, a school bus was involved in an accident this morning on the Shiloh Road.  The district spokeswoman said, “There were no injuries.  Another bus will transport students to school.  Highway patrol is on the scene.”

Crews continued to work Monday morning to clear a tanker that overturned Sunday on I-85 NB at the 160 Exit in Carnesville. On today’s report from the state health agency:  451 new cases of COID-19.  Seventeen of those cases are in Oconee.  Statewide, two people have been added to the death toll.  Of 15,661 test results, the new South Carolina positivity is 4%.
