New cases of the virus on today’s South Carolina DHEC report: 660.  That includes 17 in Oconee. Statewide, there were 8 additional deaths. Of 25,695 test results, the new South Carolina positivity:  4.4%.

The DHEC report issued this afternoon contains 570 new cases of the virus, 34 of them in Oconee County.  Statewide, three more deaths are documented.  Of 19,354 test results, the latest South Carolina positivity is 4.9%  The numbers announced today reflect data available by 11:59 Wednesday night.

A pickup truck left a street and hit a parked car this morning in Fair Play.  Chief Wilkerson of the community fire department said the accident on Hall Street near E.
