Fourth and fifth arrests

Oconee Sheriff’s Office reports arrests numbers four and five in a case of burglary at the former Dunlop/Maxfli plant near Westminster, and the investigation is said to be continuing. The latest arrests are those of Dylan Richard Copeland, 26-year old Westminster resident, and Kevin Wayne Ballard, 43-year old Six Mile resident.

Special Walhalla election

This may be Super Tuesday across the country.  But, in Walhalla, it’s a special election day to fill a vacated seat on the six-member city council.  The only ballot candidate is Keith Pace.  Voting takes place 7 to 7 at the EMS/rescue squad building on S. Church Street.
