Fourth arrest in a continuing investigation

A Pickens County man from the town of Six Mile has been arrested in a continuing investigation of a burglary at a former manufacturing plant near Westminster. According to the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, the arrest of Kevin Wayne Ballard is the fourth arrest related to burglary at the former Dunlop golf products plant. Forty-three year old Ballard is charged with burglary, malicious injury to property, and grand larceny. A deputy February 24 found damage to a plant entrance. That deputy and Westminster police officers conducted a security sweep of the building and gathered evidence indicating metals and an electronic item were stolen.
