Scott Parris and Sharon Hennes have been appointed by the board of the Oconee Joint Sewer Authority to determine billing needs and start talks with Pioneer Rural Water for the billing for retail wastewater collection and treatment service for Sewer South.

Oconee Sheriff’s Office reports arrests numbers four and five in a case of burglary at the former Dunlop/Maxfli plant near Westminster, and the investigation is said to be continuing. The latest arrests are those of Dylan Richard Copeland, 26-year old Westminster resident, and Kevin Wayne Ballard, 43-year old Six Mile resident.

This may be Super Tuesday across the country.  But, in Walhalla, it’s a special election day to fill a vacated seat on the six-member city council.  The only ballot candidate is Keith Pace.  Voting takes place 7 to 7 at the EMS/rescue squad building on S. Church Street.
