Your grandparents might remember a 1920 tornado

On this date in Greenville-Spartanburg weather history:  According to National Weather Service, a tornado touched down in Oconee County near the Georgia line, southwest of Westminster, and tracked for six miles before lifting north of Oakway.  Ten people were hurt.  That same day, a twister was tracked for 32 miles northwest of Monroe, North Carolina — not far from Charlotte.  Those historical accounts suggested damage occurred in an F4 category.
