Windmill dedicated on the grounds of the Farm Center
A staple of agricultural life now stands at the Foothills Resource and Marketing Center. It is a refurbished windmill that originally stood on a 160-acre farm in Aiken County, a farm belonging to Janie and Ralph Horace Shuler. It was raised in 1923. In 1972, the 47-foot tower was dismantled and brought to Salem, South Carolina. It is now dedicated in the name of the late Keith “Sam” Shuler, who was the grandson of Ralph Shuler.
