When the lights go out, who do you call?

When the lights go out — whether it is from severe weather, vehicle accidents or animal interference — line workers respond by getting the lights on for customers and communities.  Duke Energy today recognizes National Line Worker Appreciation Day and the work of the vital employees who ensure customers and communities have safe, reliable power, and play a key infrastructure role.  Duke Energy and its foundation announces nearly $4 million to support line worker programs in states where the company operates.  The Tri-County Technical College at Pendleton is among the institutions that offer line worker training.
