What’s worrying the state’s epidemiologist

Dr. Linda Bell, the South Carolina epidemiologist, is urging the public to be cautious in the fall and winter season and recommends people take the vaccines available to ward off the flu, COVID-19, and RSV, a malady for which seniors can be susceptible.  The newest COVID booster shots could be available by the end of the week.  Dr. Bell recommends the flu shot as early as possible, and notes that it takes two weeks for the body to build an immunity once the shot is administered.  A fuller report from Bell can be heard on 101.7/WGOG NEWS, as well as on ‘Community Soundoff’ following the ABC NEWS at 7 this Saturday morning.
