Westminster to seek $7.5M in federal money

Westminster City Council gave its approval last night to applying to the federal government for as much as $7.5 million in the form of a loan/grant to pay for various improvements across the city’s water service territory.  The improvements are to stretch as far as Long Creek to upsize to 250,000 gallons the Unity Tank.  A notice posted at city hall invites the public to learn more about the Rural Development program of the USDA during a 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, June 8 meeting at the Westminster Depot.
