Westminster comfortable with new budget

By the city council vote last night, Westminster has in place a new budget to run another year of city government.  It’s a measure that tops $27 million and includes 5% cost of living raises for the city employees, along with pay raises for the mayor and council.  It is currently figured for a decrease of 3.5 mills to the formula for this year’s property tax bills, although as the city administrator pointed out it’s the duty of the county auditor to figure a millage commensurate with what it’ll take to fund the budget.
