Walhalla zoning permit will have a one-year life

A zoning permit granted by Walhalla will be limited to a life of one year.  Brandon Burton, city administrator, says the city council this week amended an ordinance to provide that going forward, any zoning permit granted by city hall will have a one-year time limit–meaning that if a project has not been completed in that time (or a business has failed to open) the permit will have been deemed to have expired.  An applicant may re-apply.  An extension may be granted on a case-by-case basis.
