Walhalla plan to buy garbage truck on loan to the city

A committee of the Walhalla City Council has agreed to work out details to buy a 2007 front-load garbage truck on load to the city.  Estimated cost:  $55 thousand.  Brandon Burton, city administrator, says a formal vote will take place at council’s regular March meeting.  The truck has been on loan from Greater Greenville.  Burton said, “Te purchase of the truck will allow us to have 2 front loaders to reduce down time if one breaks down.  Thus truck will be used for commercial dumpsters with the ability to have an attachments to collect roll carts if needed.”
