Walhalla on the 4th of July

The City of Walhalla announces its schedule for Independence Fest and
the observance of July 4th.
City Hall will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2022, to observe Independence Day. City Hall will reopen on
Tuesday, July 5, 2022. City Council Committee Meeting will not meet on July 5. It has been rescheduled
for July 12, 2022, at 5:30 pm at City Hall.
Sanitation pickup will also be modified during this time. Trash normally picked up on Monday will be
collected on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please have roll carts out by 7 AM on the rescheduled days. All
other routes should remain on schedule.
The food truck area at the corner of Main and N Spring will be closed Saturday July 2, 2022, and Sunday
July 3, 2022, to food trucks. This area will be reserved for public parking both days.
Fireworks are planned for Sunday, July 3, 2022, around 9:15pm. The carnival is open Friday to Monday.
The kids bicycle parade will next to the Performing Arts Center on N College at 3pm Saturday July 2,
2022.
Open containers will be allowed 11am-11pm on Saturday July 2, 2022, and again on Sunday July 3,
2022, in the Main Street district only. Only locally served/poured beer and wine are allowed and it must
be in a clear plastic 16 oz cup.
There are no rain dates.
