Walhalla Middle School accorded national recognition

A new banner hangs today in Walhalla Middle School denoting recognition of the school’s commitment to national standards promulgated by Special Olympics.  Special Ed teacher Jennifer Lawler is credited with originating her school’s bid as a National Unified Champion School, one of just eight in South Carolina to be so honored.  Principal Scott Dixon says 18% of the school body follow I-E-P’s — individualized education plans.
