Walhalla homicide appears to have been a stabbing

Authorities say a 43-year old Walhalla man was stabbed to death last night outside a home on the city’s east side.  The police chief, Tim Rice, said around 10 o’clock, personnel responded to a call to 207 Moore Avenue home and tried live-saving measures, to no avail. Coroner Karl Addis says he’ll make known the name of the victim this afternoon.  An autopsy is scheduled to assist the investigation.  Meantime, the police appeal to anyone with information on what happened to contact their department at 864-638-5831.  You can leave a tip online to Crimestoppers, where you do not have to give your name, at oconeecrimestoppers.com.
