Walhalla girl captures an equestrian title

Years of horseback riding have paid off handsomely for a Walhalla girl.  Fifteen-year-old Merada Moffitt at Pelzer yesterday won a state title during competition in the National Barrell Horseback Association.   She bested her competitors, riding a horse named Rizzo.  Merada is the daughter of Stephanie Jackson and Tinker Moffitt and the stepdaughter of Stacy Jackson.  An interview with the riding champion can be heard on 101.7/WGOG NEWS.
