Vote reminder from the League of Women Voters

The contests next month for two seats on the Oconee School Board of Trustees are non-partisan elections to select trustees to represent Districts One and Three.  The League of Women Voters is out with a reminder that if you want to vote for any non-partisan candidate in the General Election, you can’t vote a straight party ticket.  To find out what’s on the November 8 ballot, who is running, and where they stand on issues, go to the LWV’s one-stop shop for election information www.vote411.org.  Linda Gahan, president of the LWV of Oconee and Pickens, says, “Local members of the LWV work with all candidates to get positions included; we encourage the public to use this valuable resource.”
