Update –two Seneca fires

One person, believed to be a Borg Warner employee, required a helicopter flight for burns in last evening’s car fire that spread to two other vehicles near Seneca’s Wells Highway.  One city official speculated the burns came when that person attempted to try to put out what appeared to have been an explosive fire in the plant parking lot.  The fire call was simultaneous to a separate fire miles away near WN 1st Street.  Fire Chief Caudill said no one was believed hurt in the fire that covered one acre was in a wooded, brush area used for a homeless camp.  Caudill later last night said he did not know if the fire was intentionally or accidentally set. Reporter Kevin Hollis of 94.1 The Lake, Seneca, approaching the scene, could see smoke from as far as near the downtown. Two fires same time stretched resources of the Seneca Fire Department, but Caudill said assistance was received from the Walhalla and West Union fire stations.
