United Way soon to own instead of rent

Coming shortly will be announcement from the United Way of Oconee that the humanitarian organization will cease becoming a renter and instead own its own digs.  For years, United Way has rented inside the Piedmont Center, near Bob Hill real estate and the Oconee Economic Alliance.  But, the United Way’s LaShauna Harrison says thanks to a donor’s will, United Way may now buy its office property.  The official announcement is to be made in early February.
