Under-the-influence driver imprisoned

A multiple-vehicle accident three years ago evolved to a criminal court proceeding in this week’s Oconee General Sessions Court.  One of the drivers must pay for that accident by serving a two-year prison sentence.  Court officers say the case was resolved Monday when Bradford Craig Bearden pleaded guilty to felony driving under the influence great bodily injury at the 123/Wells Highway intersection between Seneca and Clemson.  Beth Blundy, assistant solicitor, said a 3-year-old passenger sustained a broken leg and a 65-year-old man severe neck injuries.  The accident occurred March 2, 2019.
