Troopers stress driving safety

Captain Kevin Brown of the South Carolina Highway Patrol and Captain D-J Riley of the state DNR are in Anderson this morning for a news conference to stress safety both on the roads and in the water.  Summer is a swell time for fun and relaxation, but the state patrol points out that the period of the 100 deadliest days on the state’s roads and highways is underway.  And, as Sgt. Joe Hovis of the state patrol, told 101.7/WGOG NEWS all motorists should pay attention to the speedometer, avoid distracted driving, keep seatbelts fastened, and do not drive under the influence.
