Thurmond Coward’s heart goes out to Hindman, Kentucky

Not only does the heart of Salem resident Thurmond Coward go out to the flood victims in rural Kentucky, but to those impacted by the Jackson, Mississippi disaster.  Coward today reported to 101.7/WGOG NEWS the conditions faced by the fewer than 1,000 residents of Hindman, Kentucky, county seat of Knott County which Coward has visited with a truck load of supplies.  And he’s willing to make a return trip to Kentucky, provided the public will help him by filling his truck which sits along Salem’s Park Avenue in the vicinity of town hall.  From what Coward has learned about Hindman, there’s little government assistance visible there and that, says Coward, is pitiful.  One of Hindman’s top needs is the donation of camp stove grilles and pots.
