The mayor wants a clean town

Mayor Lynn Towe of Salem reminds everyone of Saturday’s volunteer event to help beautify the small town in the northwest corner of Oconee.  A town-wide clean up takes place Saturday morning.  Everyone is invited to meet at 8 o’clock in the parking lot of Calvary Baptist Church.  According to the mayor, they’ll divide into groups and start with the clean-up of sidewalks and the road sides.  Trash bags and pick up sticks provided.
