The first West-Oak High fishing tourney
A cash prize of $500 dollars is up for grabs on Saturday, October 28 at the inaugural West-Oak High fishing tourney. The tournament takes place at Seneca Landing, with the registration and the fishing to start at safe light, around 5:30 am, and end at 1:30 pm. The fee to participate is $50 cash and is due the Saturday morning of the event.
Organizers will earmark proceeds to help West-Oak honor students pay for a field trip to New Orleans. Besides teaching high school science, Tim Smith coaches the multi-school HCTC fishing team. Even if you don’t plan to fish Saturday, you are invited to join them for coffee and breakfast.
