The Duncan sentence amounts to 10 prison years

A man tried in his absence last week in the Oconee General Sessions Court has learned his fate.  The sentence handed down Friday requires Steven Lee Duncan to serve 10 years for his conviction on charges of failing to stop for a blue light and trafficking in methamphetamine between 10 and 28 grams.  Duncan did not show for his trial, and a hearing later centered on whether he had been given proper notice that his trial would take place during the court’s January term.
