The case for Duke’s fuel costs due this summer

Duke Energy Carolinas is scheduled to file direct testimony this summer to the South Carolina Public Service Commission.  The PSC commissioners will sit in judgment of Duke’s fuel adjustment and how it would affect customers.  Expected to be a player in those proceedings is the state’s Office of Regulatory Staff, which is to represent the public.  Hank Page, Regulatory Staff spokesman, tells 101.7/WGOG NEWS: “Duke Energy Carolinas is scheduled to file its direct testimony on August 1, 2023 with the SC Public Service Commission.  Until the, then, the Office of Regulatory Staff won’t have any information related to how much the requested fuel adjustment will be – or how it will impact customers.”
