Texas college graduate introduces herself locally

A recent college graduate from Texas is taking on the difficult task of going door-to-door with a sales pitch. Alex Castro is knocking on doors within the 101.7/WGOG listening area representing Southwestern Advantage, an education materials sales company based in Nashville, Tennessee.  Castro hopes to be able to sell education materials for use from preschool to college prep, but it’ll be an experience that should be valuable to her as she embarks on a business entrepreneurial path.  At first, she’s checking several boxes.  Castro has obtained required permits and licenses and has checked in with both the Walhalla Police and the Oconee Sheriff’s Office which helps keep both the student safe and the public’s mind at ease.  Alex Castro will be in our area through the middle of August.  So far, she says, she has been greeted warmly and is complimentary of the niceness of Oconee Country residents.
