Ten Walhalla High students took part in Clemson contest

Ten Walhalla High students took part in this fall’s Clemson University Declamation Contest.  They were chaperoned by Walhalla English teacher Darlene Littlefield who has good personal memories of the declamation contest.  For it was November 20, 1972 that Littlefield won the contest reciting a poem by an Austrian literary artist.  “It was a great experience to be able to share this with my students…, she said. “My German students had such a fun time learning their poems and participating.  It was a first-time experience for all 10 of them and most are looking forward to participating again next year.”
