Surveillance video part of homicide evidence

Sheriff Mike Crenshaw confirms that surveillance pictures from a neighbor’s home are considered evidence in the Oconee Sheriff’s Office investigation of the July 4 week homicide near Seneca.  A well-placed source told 101.7/WGOG NEWS that the surveillance footage shows a vehicle pulled up to the mobile home of victim Nancy Popham on the night of July 3, an individual exited the vehicle for the home, carrying a bag.  Late last week the sheriff’s office announced the arrest of Walhalla resident Victor Dunaway. The 61-year old Dunaway was jailed on the charge of murder, in a case in which authorities say strangulation was the cause of 67-year old Popham’s death.
