Sunday morning electric power outage

A Sunday morning power outage affected 458 customers of the Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative in parts of eastern Oconee County.  Terry Ballenger, Blue Ridge spokesman, said dispatch for the retail electric supplier was notified of the outage just before 9:45 am and crews were able to have the power back in fewer than two hours.  The apparent culprit in the outage was a tree that fell across a line inside Circuit Three, the Corinth substation.
