Status of former school building explained

The only charter school in Oconee County, the Next School at Eagle Ridge, has closed its doors.  What’s to come of their former Salem building—an interview topic today.  We spoke with town government’s Marti Jennings.  Why she says the future of the building is on “hold” is explained today on 101.7/WGOG NEWS.  The auditorium in the building, however, has been converted to an arts center, but there’s a lot of other square footage that will become available.  At one time, the former public school complex supported a 300-student enrollment from the Tamassee-Salem area.
