State-of-State themes echo in Oconee

A couple of themes that Governor McMaster hit on last night actually echo from the previous week’s annual public meeting of Oconee’s state legislative delegation.  Among the concerns that the trio of the county’s state lawmakers heard January 18: confidence in the way judges are chosen and the plight of the state’s seemingly worsening roads and bridges.  McMaster wants a role for him and future governors in selecting judicial candidates and he recommends that $500 million in surplus money be appropriated to the DOT to repair and replace bridges.
